Terms of Use
Updated June 24, 2026
These terms explain the rules for using socialmemory. By using socialmemory, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. What socialmemory does
Socialmemory helps you sync, browse, search, organize, and use the X posts you already liked or bookmarked. The product includes a web library and optional Agent Access for local Codex or Claude Code.
Socialmemory is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. X is a third-party service, and your use of X remains subject to X rules and terms.
2. Accounts
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account, browser profile, local computer, and agent tools secure. You are also responsible for activity that happens through your socialmemory account, Chrome extension, local connector, or Agent Access token.
3. Your saved data
You keep ownership of the content and information you provide or sync into socialmemory. You give socialmemory permission to store, process, display, search, index, and transmit that data as needed to operate the service.
You should only sync X data from accounts and browser sessions you are allowed to access. Deleting data from Socialmemory does not delete anything from X.
4. Agent Access
Agent Access lets local Codex or local Claude Code use your socialmemory archive. When you enable it, your agent may search, sync, read saved items, append notes, merge tags, create result-set links, and check sync status according to the access you granted.
You are responsible for how you use agent tools and for reviewing agent output before relying on it. You can revoke Agent Access from socialmemory.
5. AI and search results
Socialmemory may use AI systems to prepare Meaning search and to help retrieve related saved items. AI-assisted search can be incomplete or wrong. Always review the underlying X post or source material before making important decisions based on a result.
6. Paid access and billing
Socialmemory is a paid product. Plan details, free trial length, price, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation terms are shown during checkout or billing management. Lemon Squeezy processes subscriptions and payments.
If a trial ends, payment fails, or subscription access is paused, socialmemory may limit sync, Agent Access, and full library use until billing is active again. If you cancel, access may continue until the end of the current paid or trial period, depending on the plan terms shown at checkout.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use socialmemory for illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive activity;
- sync, upload, or process data you do not have permission to access;
- try to bypass access limits, billing checks, rate limits, security controls, or authentication systems;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt socialmemory or its infrastructure;
- share private tokens, credentials, or access links in a way that exposes your account or another person's data;
- use socialmemory to build a competing service by copying private product behavior or abusing service access.
8. Third-party services
Socialmemory depends on third-party services such as Google, Supabase, Lemon Squeezy, X, browser vendors, AI providers, local agent tools, hosting providers, and related infrastructure. We are not responsible for changes, outages, pricing, policies, or actions from those third-party services.
9. Service changes and availability
We may change, add, remove, pause, or discontinue features. We try to keep socialmemory useful and reliable, but the service may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or affected by changes to X, browsers, local agents, billing providers, infrastructure providers, or AI providers.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using socialmemory at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security or operational risk, fail to pay required fees, abuse the service, or use socialmemory in a way that could harm other users, the product, or third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
Socialmemory is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, and loss-free data storage.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, socialmemory will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or costs of substitute services.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make updates, we will change the updated date above. Continued use of socialmemory after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form or emailed to pauline@socialmemory.dev.
